Disruptive manufacturer of new generation wireless broadband solutions Curvalux UK Ltd. has today announced a further eight new job openings at its headquarters in Sheffield to continue the company’s rapid growth.

Already employing 15 people, the almost doubling of the staff at the UK HQ are to support the company’s rapid growth globally. In March 2021, the Philippines’ leading mobile network operated signed a new contract with Curvalux to deliver cost-effective, high-speed broadband to areas of the country with little or no internet connectivity. Other major contracts with both British and global telecoms providers are also in the pipeline.

The new hires – which range from software and hardware engineers to project management professionals and financial accountants – come on the back of a major commitment by Curvalux to the UK market and the Sheffield region as a hub for the company’s research and development. In May 2020 Curvalux and the Sheffield City Region Mayoral Combined Authority (SCR) announced plans to open a new telecommunications R&D centre and production facility, with SCR supporting the company’s investment with a grant of £8m. Curvalux also recently hired a new CTO in former Ceragon Networks leader Gur Ballas.

Nir Barkan, UK chief executive of Curvalux, said: “We’re seeing huge demand for our groundbreaking technologies as telecom providers all over the world wake up to the need to connect suburban and rural populations and tackle the digital divide that is growing globally. We’ve selected the UK as the base for our office HQ and our R&D teams, and these hires will help us to continue to meet this growing global demand while also creating opportunities and growth for the Sheffield region.”
