Brazilian ITC Consultancy experts, Tree Net and global provider of Wireless Broadband Technology, Curvalux, today announced a collaboration agreement to bring highspeed Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) solutions to Brazil.  Tree Net will be delivering last mile connectivity solutions to both telecom operators and business developers with Curvalux’s innovative multibeam technology.

Tree Net’s extensive experience in the Telecom industry suits business developers looking for a full system integration service to provide broadband internet access to homes and businesses.  Additionally, operators in need of FWA equipment can benefit from Tree Net’s extensive experience in managing complex projects of large networks with leading ICT manufacturers.

Curvalux and Tree Net are planning to carry out a series of field trials in both urban and rural areas to demonstrate the superior capabilities of Curvalux through a proof of concept (POC). The first demonstration is to take place in a densely populated area of São Paulo in early June. The trial will demonstrate the extraordinary performance of the Curvalux system to deliver high capacity and exceptional signal quality even operating in the unlicensed bands in a noisy environment through Curvalux’s innovative phased array multibeam system with superior interference mitigation.

The second field trial will be in two locations: one in the City of Brasilia and the other outside Brasilia in an agricultural setting. Coverage and sector throughput will be key features in the rural setting as this POC intends to illuminate IoT devices in scattered locations. Curvalux’s long range, multi-gigabit speeds and low power consumption are ideal to match these conditions. Other industry sectors such as manufacturing, mining and logistics can easily adapt to the agricultural business model.

The arrival of 5G in Brazil has opened an unprecedented discussion about the use of high-speed FWA solutions in urban areas as a complementary solution to fiber and how FWA solutions will aid operators covering hard-to-reach areas. Curvalux beamforming technology has been designed with the end-user in mind to provide affordable and sustainable connectivity for ALL.

“Internet access is no longer a luxury but a necessity in today’s society, and every government in the world is prioritising the need to bring affordable broadband access for each and every one of its citizens.  Our mission is to support the country of Brazil to provide solutions that address its ongoing connectivity challenges. Social, economic, technical and environmental hurdles need to be tackled and overcome”, says Richard Pak, Curvalux Group CEO. “We are thrilled to be collaborating with a systems integrator like Tree Net to bring down these barriers and work together to offer affordable internet access to everyone in Brazil and to support its growing local economy.”

“At Tree Net, we are passionate about technology and about delivering superior customer service. That’s why we chose to partner with Curvalux as they bring a transformative solution that offers fast connectivity and the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) available in the market for FWA”, says Victor Adonei Costa, CEO of Tree Net.
